What To Expect
If you are coming to an MJC performance for the first time here are a few things you should know:
The MJC presents a diverse program of original music (we're talking anything from avante-garde to fusion, latin, electronic, straight-ahead etc.). Some of the acts you may love while some may not be to your taste - it's a personal thing! If you are aren't familiar with a particular artist check out them out online; We often have links to their website on our site, but if not, google them, find their website, Myspace, iTunes or LastFM page and have a listen to their music.
We like to think of our performances as a concert, in that the group is there to perform for an audience that is there to listen. The evening typically consists of two sets of approximately 45 mins with an interval of 20 mins. Instead of being in a formal concert hall you have cabaret seating and a bar with drinks available throughout the evening.
